1.High Tensile Steel ( EN- 24)
EN24 is a high quality , high tensile , alloy steel . Usually Supplied Readily machineable in ‘ T’ condition, it combined high tensile strength , shock resistance , good ductility and resistance to wear .
Hardening : Heat uniformly to 823/850 ° C up to heated through.
Quench in oil .
Tempering : Heat uniformly and thoroughly at the selected tempering temperature , up to 660 ° C and hold at heat for two hours per inch of total thickness .
Tempering betweens 250-375 ° C in not recommended as this can seriously impact steels Reduce the value .
Stress Relieving : Heat slowly to 650-670 ° C , soak well before the cooling EN24 tool in a furnace or in air.
Available sizes are in rounds , Squares and flats.
Applications: Highly Stressed components of broad cross section for aircraft , automotive & general enginery Application:-
such as propeller shafts , connecting rods , gear shafts , crane shafts & landing gear components , heavy forging , such as rotar shafts & discs .
2.High tensile Steel ( EN- 19)
EN19 is a high quality , high tensile alloy steel Supplied Usually Readily machineable in ‘ T’ condition, giving Good ductility and shock resisting properties combined with resistance to wear .
EN- 19 is highly Suitable for applications Stressed Where Greater strength is required.
Hardening : Heat uniformly to 820/840 ° C up to heated through. Quench in oil .
Tempering : Heat uniformly and thoroughly at the selected tempering temperature , and hold at heat for one hour per inch of total thickness .

Applications: Axles , Rifle Barrels , Drive Shafts , Breech Mechanisms for Small Arms, Crankshafts , Induction Hardened Pins , Connecting Rods, High Tensile Bolts , Studs , Propeller Shaft Seals .
